The ‘Greek crisis’ database contents references and links to the works of social scientists who have published on Greece over the last ten years. Much has been said and written about the so-called ‘Greek crisis’ and has circulated through international media and social media. Our aim is to create a comprehensive, organised and searchable open archive of the study of social life, of ‘crises’, and of social change over the past decade in Greece, which we hope will become a port of call for anyone interested in what has been written about the so-called ‘Greek crisis’.

A short note on methodology: The original search was carried out on Scopus in 2018 using the search terms ‘crisis’ and ‘Greece’. The search returned around 550 articles, books, book chapters, reports, and other writing from the period between 2008 and 2018. The database is currently organised by output kind, year of publication, author keyword and ‘the archive team’ keywords that loosely categorise the publications thematically, and publication. Included in the database are publications in English as well as Greek, and links are provided to institutional repositories, the authors’ own webpage and other repositories where visitors might be able to download the articles. The original search was carried out by Dr Aspa Chalkidou. The work was bounded by the funds/time available. This means that the initial search is partial and incomplete. As well as the academic and grey literature reviewed, we also looked at artistic, activist and academic events and funding during that period (not currently archived).
